Job Description:
Responsible for helping to achieve ongoing guest satisfaction and team goals through the maintenance, upkeep, and cleanliness of rooms.
- Understand all standards of room/suite cleanliness.
- Consistently clean assigned rooms/suites to the standards of cleanliness for the brand and Island Hospitality.
- Maintain shelf organization in the storerooms.
- Replenish storeroom supplies.
- Remove trash and dirty linens from rooms/suites.
- Make beds.
- Clean bathrooms, including toilets.
- Sweep and vacuum floors.
- Report maintenance problems or completing work repair orders.
- Spot clean walls, carpets, light fixtures, etc.
- Any other duties assigned by Supervisor.
- Participants are expected to clean check-out rooms in 30 mins and stay-over rooms in 20
- Participants will be using cleaning chemicals.
- Participants with pet allergies should take note that the Residence Inn is a pet friendly hotel.
Job benefits:
- While traveling in the United States, participants receive discounted rooms at participating Marriott Hotels.
- Participants are housed at the hotel and only pay a deposit of $150.00 which is returnable at the end of the assignment.
- Participants may use the properties swimming pool on their days off.
- Rooms are inspected weekly for smoking or damage.
- Any participants must follow all rules as well.

Harrisburg is the capital of Pennsylvania. It borders the Appalachian
Mountains to the North, and the Susquehanna River to the East. It
offers many music and theater festivals throughout the year and is
home to many museums, art galleries, public parks and sports teams.
Downtown Harrisburg has a variety of entertainment venues,
restaurants and shopping choices. Local bus service is available to
local shopping malls, ice skating, bowling and other leisure venues.
Harrisburg’s location is ideal for day trips. Hershey, Gettysburg,
Lancaster, and York, Pennsylvania are all within 20 to 60 minutes by
car. Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York and Washington D.C. are only
90 minutes to 3 hours away by car. Hershey is about 20 minutes from
Harrisburg. It is a tourist destination during the summer – Hersheypark
has many rides, roller coasters, live entertainment, themed
restaurants and ZooAmerica. The free chocolate-making ride at
Chocolate World is an interesting experience.
